- Yakuza USB OLED and Ebisu USB Firmware Change Log - Last updated September 13, 2011 - All firmware files and Tengu versions can be downloaded online: - http://www.tadaotechnologies.com/productcart/pc/viewContent.asp?idpage=15 ======================================================================== September 13, 2011 - compatible with Tengu 1.02 Updated version of firmware released for E2 Autococker boards, which come with the new style OLED screen. If you accidentally flash your E2 board with the wrong firmware, the screen won't work. Simply flash it with the other firmware to resolve the issue. ======================================================================== November 9, 2010 - compatible with Tengu 1.02 Firmware for Yakuza USB NT released. ======================================================================== October 28, 2010 - compatible with Tengu 1.02 New version of Tengu released to support the Ebisu USB G6R Intimidator board. New firmware released for Ebisu USB G6R Intimidator and Victory/Marq boards which adds 2 mode select fire capabilities. This setting is designated as double flashing blue in the menu system, and allows you to select one of the 10 fire modes. The fire mode can be toggled during play by pressing and releasing the power switch quickly. The LED will show an indication that the fire mode has changed. ======================================================================== February 22, 2010 - compatible with Tengu 1.00 Applies only to the Ego/Geo USB board firmware. Fixes an issue with the optical trigger switch not allowing the game timer to be primed. ======================================================================== January 18, 2010 - compatible with Tengu 1.00 Performance optimization release for all Yakuza USB OLED boards. Additionally, a second set of semi-auto only firmware files has been created for specific countries that do not allow ramping/full-automatic, such as Australia and New Zealand. Please be aware that the semi-automatic only firmware limits the user from selecting ramping/full-automatic fire modes while using the OLED menu. Tengu can still set them manually (and if the user has access to Tengu, this means they could reflash the board to the full firmware, regardless). ======================================================================== December 4, 2009 - compatible with Tengu 1.00 Initial firmware release for the Yakuza USB Autococker and Ego 9/10 boards. Ego 9/10 boards use the same firmware as the Ego 7/8/Geo boards, but the September 16 optimizations have been released. ======================================================================== September 16, 2009 - compatible with Tengu 0.99. Rewrite of all code for newer compiler version. No change to features. Theoretically higher performance due to better optimization. ======================================================================== August 23, 2009 - compatible with Tengu 0.99. Revamped the game timer, making it use the priming functionality from the original non-USB Yakuza boards. This requires the user to hold down the trigger for 4 seconds to prime the game timer, then the next pull will start it. This was specifically requested by players for NPPL/USPL when judges test fire your gun, and then it has to sit for 10-15 minutes before you actually play. The game timer can also be reset by holding down the trigger for 4 seconds if it is already in progress. New auto-dim setting added, which allows you to specify a 1-15 second interval of inactivity in which the screen brightness will drop to the lowest level, helping to conserve power. Any button press or trigger pull will bring the brightness back up to your selected brightness setting. The auto-dim option is disabled by default. New screensaver setting, which is similar to the auto-dim setting, except it will display your boot screen image until any input is given. This was also a requested user feature, since people wanted to see the boot screen editor of Tengu put to more use. The screensaver option is disabled by default. This update also includes various performance enhancements. ======================================================================== July 30, 2009 - Replaced Tengu 0.97 with Tengu 0.98 for Ebisu USB AKA board release. The July 01 software revisions with select fire are also compatible with Tengu 0.98 ======================================================================== July 01, 2009 - compatible with Tengu 0.97, added new select fire functionality due to recreational and scenario player requests. Two new settings are present: fire mode 2 and fire mode 3. Each setting allows the user to pick a secondary and tertiary fire mode which can be selected on the fly while playing. The "safety" full-automatic fire mode was changed to be pure full-automatic due to popular demand. The method by which the fire modes are changed while playing varies from board to board due to the available switches, so refer to the new select fire manual or below for details. Tengu 0.97 adds the new select fire settings to the Settings tab. Eye and select fire operation (if additional fire modes are selected): Angel - roll the scroll switch downward for 1/2 second. Cyborg - press and release the bottom switch (pressing and holding will toggle the eye system) Ego - press the bottom switch for 1/2 second. Marq - eye functionality changed entirely. Press and release the power switch to cycle through fire modes. Press and hold the power switch for 1 second to toggle the eye system. Continue holding the power switch after the eyes toggle for 1 more second to turn the board off. This also has the added advantage of reducing the chance that a player will accidentally toggle the eye system while playing, which was a complaint with the older style. Ultralite - press and release the bottom switch (pressing and holding will toggle the eye system) Millennium mode now has the full range of adjustment for the ramp start setting, and the PSP/Millennium mode reset time setting range was extended to go as low as 200 milliseconds (this value isn't specified in the Millennium rules, but certain Millennium judges have been giving players a hard time). Full-automatic fire mode is now truly full-automatic. The single semi-automatic safety shot has been removed due to user requests. USB boards included in this update: Angel A1/Fly Cyborg RX Ego 7/8/Geo Marq/Vice/Victory Ultralite ======================================================================== June 02, 2009 - compatible with Tengu 0.96, added new rate of fire display setting option to disable the rate of fire display, decreasing power consumption while idle by 30%. This release also includes the first revision of the Cyborg RX reflash, and adds a drawing mode selector to the boot screen editor in Tengu. Additionally, Tengu 0.96 adds support for the RX reflash settings. USB boards included in this update: Angel A1/Fly Cyborg RX Ego 7/8/Geo Marq/Vice/Victory Ultralite ======================================================================== May 04, 2009 - compatible with Tengu 0.95, includes performance enhancements to the firing algorithms, slightly shorter full power eye time before the board reverts to pulsing the eyes on and off to conserve additional battery life while idling, and significant changes to the power down routine to increase reliability.
